Ropes & Gray Advises Cinven in Drake Software Investment

Ropes & Gray advised Cinven, an international private equity firm, in its agreement to make a significant investment in Drake Software, a provider of software for tax preparers. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal was announced in a February 5 press release.

The team advising Cinven was led by private equity partner Sandy Boer (Boston), tax partner Pamela Glazier (Boston), benefits partner Allie Alperovich (New York), labor & employment partner Megan Bisk (Boston), intellectual property transactions partner Megan Baca (Silicon Valley) and privacy & data security partner Ed McNicholas (Washington, D.C.). The team also included associates Brandon Winer, Andrea Daley and Merry Sheehan (all of Boston).
