Each summer, thousands of riders and volunteers from around the globe participate in the Pan-Mass Challenge to help find a cure for cancer. For two decades, Ropes & Gray volunteers have been along for the ride, collectively raising over $2.6 million for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research. The race is one of the firm’s most cherished traditions.

The 2021 PMC race was an amazing day of teamwork, camaraderie, and determination, and served as a great in-person reunion. It was a perfect example of how the Ropes & Gray community always comes together and goes the extra miles to make a positive difference for others.

Over 25 Ropes & Gray team members, alumni, friends, and families donned their bike shorts and helmets to take part in this year’s bike-a-thons across Massachusetts and raise over $135,000 dollars for the cause. 100 percent of every dollar the PMC raises goes directly to Dana-Farber.

Ropes & Gray has had a team of cyclists participate in the PMC every year since 2001 and been one of the many sponsors vital to PMC’s fundraising efforts. For this year’s ride, the firm provided all PMC 5,000 riders with water bottles.

The Pan-Mass Challenge raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country.
