Ropes & Gray Represented Cybot in Combination with Usercentrics

Ropes & Gray represented Cybot, parent company of Cookiebot CMP, in its combination with Usercentrics. The transaction was announced on Sept. 2. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The press release is here.

Cybot is a developer of cyber security software. The combined business will address the growing global demand from end users for greater data privacy and transparency.

The Ropes & Gray team that advised Cybot was led by private equity counsel Victoria McGrath (London) and private equity partner Jay Freedman (San Francisco), and included tax partner Leo Arnaboldi III (New York) and litigation & enforcement counsel Steven Kaye (Boston).
