Paulita Pike Discusses Proposed Changes to Market Structure in Ignites

The SEC rulemaking agenda continues to impact the fund industry, and proposed changes to the market structure are top of mind for managers.

At the ICI’s Investment Management 2023 Conference, asset management partner Paulita Pike told Ignites in a video interview that, “proposed changes to the market structure, including the switch to a next-day settlement cycle, will have a pretty significant impact on the fund industry.”

“I actually think that the rules relating to market reform, which include the T+1 rule, et cetera, while maybe not garnering the same amount of attention as some of the other proposals from our industry, are really quite impactful in a big-picture kind of way.”
