The Deal named private equity and M&A partners Carolyn Vardi, Sarah Young, Chau Le and Kate Withers, to its list of “Top Women in Dealmaking 2022.” A string of complex transactions defined their work for clients over the last year.  Meet Carolyn, Sarah, Chau and Kate here.

  • Carolyn guided 14 deals valued at $14 billion over 12 months.
  • Sarah guided multibillion dollar deals for HP, Michaels Stores and Dunkin’ Brands.
  • Chau co-led a team that advised TPG in its $1.8 billion direct investment to spin-off DIRECTV from AT&T.
  • Kate co-lead a team that sold McAfee in a $14 billion deal, one of the largest technology transactions of 2021.

The Deal’s annual “Top Women in Dealmaking” recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of women attorneys in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, restructuring, private equity and shareholder activism.
