The Daily Journal named health care partner Torrey McClary a 2022 Top Health Care Lawyer in California. A profile article cites Torrey’s efforts to build the West Coast health care transactions practice in Ropes & Gray’s new Los Angeles office.
The article highlights one of Torrey’s major career accomplishments. She is lead transaction counsel in the structuring and negotiating of a strategic collaboration between Atrium Health and Advocate Aurora Health. This was the largest health provider consolidation deal announced to date in 2022, and is designed to create one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health care systems with $27 billion in combined revenues and 67 hospitals across six states serving five million patients. The combined enterprise will employ more than 7,600 doctors, 41,000 nurses and 148,000 total employees and operate under the brand Advocate Health.
