Karla Alvarado-Chavez is a law clerk in the litigation and enforcement practice group. Karla graduated from Boston University School of Law, where she received the CLEA Outstanding Clinic Student Award for her work as a student-attorney at the Immigrants’ Rights and Human Trafficking Clinic. During law school, Karla served as secretary for the Latin American Law Student Association and as a research assistant for Prof. Aziza Ahmed.
Prior to law school, Karla was appointed to serve as the Deputy Director of Communications of the Peace Corps. Karla also served as Press Secretary in the U.S. House of Representatives and as a communications advisor and press secretary in various House, Senate, and presidential campaigns. Karla is also a recipient of the Ropes & Gray Roscoe Trimmier Jr. Scholarship.
