Michael Asprou joined Ropes & Gray in 2024 as an associate in the private equity transactions group in London. Prior to joining the firm, Michael trained at a market leading private equity house and worked at a London law firm.

Michael's practice is focused on UK and international M&A and he specialises in transactions involving private equity investors, institutional investors and large corporates. He has also acted for management teams and advised portfolio companies on a wide range of corporate matters throughout the investment lifecycle.

  • Advised ICG and Law Business Research (LBR) on LBR’s merger with ALM, creating a leading global legal intelligence platform provider.
  • Advised Avista Healthcare Partners on its investment in PK Benelux, a key player in the market for vitamins, minerals, and supplements (VMS) in the Netherlands, through a strategic partnership.
  • Advised Avista Healthcare Partners, Damier Group and PK Benelux on their acquisition of HealthAid, a leading UK VMS player.
  • Advised CVC and its portfolio company System C on the acquisition of CIS Oncology, an expert in automated chemotherapy prescribing.
  • Advised Advent and its portfolio company Prometheus on the acquisition of NiSoft, a global provider of digital safety and operations management software.
  • Advised Cordillera Investment Partners on its new strategic investment in Northridge Law LLP, a leading independent law firm dedicated to highly complex and high-stakes legal matters in sport.
  • Advised Long Path Partners on the acquisition of Idox plc by Frankel UK Bidco Limited, a newly formed company indirectly owned by funds managed by Long Path.
  • Advised EQT on its acquisition of global secondaries firm Coller Capital, in a transaction understood to be the largest-ever secondaries fund manager acquisition.
