Vincenzo Antonelli joined the Ropes & Gray finance group in London in 2025. Prior to joining the firm, Vincenzo worked in the corporate and finance department of one of the leading law firms in Italy, practicing in capital markets and M&A. His experience includes advising private and listed companies on a broad range of corporate transactions, including initial and follow-on public equity offerings, private placements, acquisitions, and buyouts.

Vincenzo earned his master’s degree in law from LUISS Guido Carli, Italy where he graduated cum laude with a final dissertation worthy of publication. He completed the Hedge-Fund Activism Program at The Wharton School. He also holds an LL.M. degree from the University of Chicago Law School, where he focused on corporate finance, private equity, capital markets, and corporate and securities law. During the LL.M., Vincenzo also served on the editorial board of the University of Chicago Business Law Review.

Advised Credit Agricole on €500 million share capital increase*
Advised Italy’s largest group in the agro-industrial chain in terms of utilized agricultural area on €300 million share capital increase*
Advised Banca Carige (now incorporated in BPER Bank) on re-admission to trading on the Italian stock market of its shares and warrants after a suspension due to a temporary administration decision by the European Central Bank*
Advised Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS) on the placement of treasury shares totalling €32,635 million through an accelerated bookbuild, as part of a broader and complex distressed non-proportional demerger in favour of AMCO – Asset Management Company*
Advised a leading reputation management group on its buyout by a Luxembourg private equity fund, forming the largest Italian consulting advisory group in government affairs and reputation management*
Advised UnipolSai on its investment in a prominent Italian scale-up healthtech specialized in telemedicine and digitalization of territorial medicine*
Advised BNP Paribas BNL Equity Investments on acquisitions of minority shareholdings in some of the leading Italian companies to support their long-term growth*
Advised a leading Italian and European TV production company on its sale to one of the largest global players in the industry*
