Aster Cheng joined Ropes & Gray’s asset management practice group in 2026. Prior to joining the firm, Aster was an associate in the Boston office of another international law firm. As part of her practice, Aster represents registered investment companies, their investment advisers, and their independent trustees in a variety of regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters.
During law school, Aster served as development articles editor for the Review of Banking and Financial Law and co-president of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association.
Prior to law school, Aster worked in marketing for an NHL and MLB franchise.
