Liam joined Ropes & Gray in 2025 as an associate in the litigation and enforcement practice group. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a law clerk at the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the Vermont Supreme Court, as a course instructor and tutor with a nationwide bar prep company, and as a part-time research fellow. He previously interned at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
During law school, Liam was Articles Editor for the Boston University Law Review, Symposium Editor for the N.Y.U. Journal of Law & Liberty, and a research assistant. An active member of BU’s advocacy programs, he also served as president and coach of BU’s mock trial team, received a Best Oralist award while competing in the Edward C. Stone and Homer Albers moot court competitions, and later earned First Place Advocate distinction representing BU at the ABA’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition. While in law school, Liam concurrently completed graduate studies in history. His research on legal history has regularly been featured in academic journals, bar journals, and professional conferences.
