Matt Chesky is a part of the firm’s alternative asset opportunities practice. He works with some of the world’s largest institutional investors and asset managers, including sovereign wealth funds and private funds, in various transactional matters. Matt regularly advises clients in secondaries, direct and co-investments, and GP-led recapitalizations. Matt works with a team that closed more than 400 secondaries transactions in 2024, collectively worth over $200 billion.

Matt maintains an active pro bono practice, with a particular focus on veterans’ matters.

During law school, Matt participated in Boston College Law School’s Project Entrepreneur, where he worked with formerly incarcerated clients to help them start and operate new businesses. He also completed a concentration in Tax Law.

Prior to, and during, law school, Matt served as the President of Insuritas, an insurance technology business, which was acquired by a subsidiary of Hub International Limited in 2024.
