Akosua (Abby) Duodu is an associate in the finance group, focusing primarily on structured finance transactions and other alternative financing arrangements, including whole-business securitizations and other ABS transactions.
During law school, Abby served as a writing fellow and as a notes editor for The George Washington University Law Public Contract Law Journal.
Prior to joining Ropes & Gray, Abby was a securitization associate in the Chicago office of a national law firm.
Experience
- Represented issuers, underwriters and trustees in connection with various public and 144A securitization transactions.*
- Represented lenders and ABS structurers in connection with issuances backed by traditional and esoteric collateral.*
- Represented parties in various transactions financing the purchase of receivables owed to vendors by the State of Illinois.*
- Represented investors in the purchase of asset-backed securities secured by payments owed to charter schools.*
