Brian Durkin is an associate in Ropes & Gray's Boston office. He practices primarily in the firm's private equity transactions group, representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, add-ons and other general corporate matters across multiple industries.
During law school, Brian served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Nathaniel M. Gorton in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and as a senior editor of the Boston College Law Review.

- Represented Proterial, Ltd., a portfolio company of Bain Capital, in connection with the sale of its subsidiary, Waupaca Foundry, Inc., the world's largest iron manufacturer, to Monomoy Capital Partners.
- Represented Bain Capital Double Impact in the sale of multi-specialty clinical services organization HealthDrive.
- Represented Bain Capital in connection with its acquisition of U.S. Renal Care, Inc., a leading provider of dialysis services.
- Represented Summit Partners in its investment in Earned Wealth, a tech-enabled financial services firm focused exclusively on the needs of medical professionals;
- Represented Charlesbank Capital Partners in connection with its investment in Aptean, a global provider of mission-critical, industry-specific enterprise resource planning and supply chain solutions.
- Represented Audax Group in connection with its acquisition of 48forty, a provider of pallet management services, along with subsequent add-on acquisitions.
- Represented TSG Consumer Partners in connection with its investment in fashion brand Vici.
