Caitlin Durand is an associate in the litigation and enforcement group and focuses her practice on antitrust and competition matters. Caitlin advises clients on antitrust compliance and risk in proposed mergers and acquisitions, including navigating Federal Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Justice reviews and Second Requests. She also represents clients in private antitrust litigation. Caitlin maintains an active pro bono practice with a focus on immigration and child welfare issues.
Caitlin served as a law clerk for the Honorable Nathaniel M. Gorton of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. During law school, Caitlin was as editor-in-chief of the Boston College Law Review and president of the Women’s Law Center. At graduation, Caitlin received the Cornelius J. Moynihan Award for outstanding editorial work on publications. In addition, Caitlin worked as a judicial intern to the Honorable Randolph D. Moss of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Prior to law school, Caitlin spent three years at the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition as an honors paralegal, where she worked on investigations and litigations involving mergers and anticompetitive practices.

- Represented Xerox Holdings Corporation in its $1.5 billion acquisition of Lexmark International, Inc. from Ninestar Corporation, PAG Asia Capital, and Shanghai Shuda Investment Centre.
- Represented Becton Dickinson in a definitive agreement to acquire Edwards Lifesciences' Critical Care product group, a leader in advanced hemodynamic monitoring solutions, for $4.2 billion in cash.
- Represented Bain Capital and Dessert Holdings in its acquisition of Steven Charles.
- Represented healthcare technology firm in its acquisition of provider of software for discharge and long-term care planning. Transaction was closed without challenge following a Second Request.
- Represented leading health insurer in its acquisition of another health insurance firm before state antitrust regulators.
- Representing a hospital in antitrust investigation by a state attorney general’s office.
