Mehmet Dogan joined Ropes & Gray in 2023 as a technical advisor in the intellectual property litigation group.
Prior to joining the firm, Mehmet worked as a research fellow at University of Texas in Austin, within the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering & Sciences, where he developed and implemented software solutions to study large nano-materials from first-principles. Prior to this role, he was a postdoctoral researcher at University of California, Berkeley, focusing on two-dimensional semiconductors and high-pressure superconductivity in hydrogen-rich materials.
Mehmet received his B.S. in physics and mathematics from Middle East Technical University in Turkey and his Ph.D. in physics from Yale University in 2017. His PhD thesis was on interfaces between semiconductors, e.g. silicon, and very thin insulating films.
