Sarah Filion is a senior funds attorney practicing in the asset management group. She joined Ropes & Gray in 1998 as a corporate attorney focusing on private equity transactions, capital markets transactions and mergers and acquisitions. After next spending over 10 years outside the firm serving as the general counsel and chief compliance officer of private funds (hedge funds with long-short equity and relative value strategies), Sarah rejoined the firm in 2019. She now focuses primarily on analyzing and negotiating private equity and other private investment opportunities for investing clients. Sarah has extensive experience representing institutional and other investors (including funds of funds, endowments and pension funds and private foundations) in all aspects of private equity investments and other alternative investment opportunities, both domestic and global, including buyout funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds and real estate funds.
