Alexandra (Alex) Giacchino joined Ropes & Gray in 2021 as an associate in the firm’s asset management group. Her practice focuses on private investment funds and their advisers.

Alex advises private fund sponsors and management companies in connection with fund formation, fundraising, structuring, governance, operations, and regulatory matters. Her practice spans closed-end and open-end fund structures and strategies including private credit, private equity, hedge and venture funds. Alex’s experience also includes representation of institutional investors in connection with their investments in a variety of private investment funds.

Alex maintains an active pro bono practice, assisting individuals with immigration and asylum matters through her work with Project Citizenship and Immigration Equality.

During law school, Alex served as a staff editor for the Boston University Journal of Science & Technology Law and as a board member of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.

Prior to law school, Alex worked as a paralegal at a global corporate immigration law firm.
