Gabriel is a senior attorney in the firm’s intellectual property transactions practice group. Gabriel advises a wide range of companies on the protection, enforcement, and licensing of intellectual property rights, with a focus on trademark portfolio development and strategy. He routinely assists clients with global trademark clearance, prosecution, portfolio management, enforcement, and brand strategy. Gabriel also advises clients on IP diligence issues in private equity, M&A, and debt transactions, and he drafts and negotiates trademark and copyright license agreements and similar commercial contracts.
Before joining the firm, Gabriel clerked for Vice Chancellor J. Travis Laster at the Delaware Court of Chancery, where he worked on cases primarily involving issues of Delaware corporate law.
Before law school, Gabriel worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in South Africa, Kenya, and Sudan, and before that as a consultant for a health care marketing and communications agency.
