Jennifer Geffner serves private fund sponsors globally as part of the firm’s asset management group. She works with private investment funds through all stages of a fund’s life cycle. Her practice includes advising funds on structuring, fundraising, operations, and regulatory and compliance matters.
Jen has experience across asset classes and with a wide range of structures, extending beyond traditional closed- and open-end structures to more complex and innovative structures, including funds with slow pay mechanics, rated feeders, real estate investment trusts, independent agent structures, and risk retention structures. She is also experienced in advising on single investor vehicles, separately managed accounts, co-investment vehicles, special purpose vehicles, and the restructuring of existing funds.
In addition, Jen advises on management company and general partner matters, including regulatory and compliance matters, governance and operations, compensation programs, and spin outs.
Clients value Jen’s global perspective and practical, commercial approach, shaped by practicing law in both New York and London and her in-house asset management experience.
