Laylee joined Ropes & Gray in 2021 as an associate in Ropes and Gray’s private equity transactions group. Prior to joining Ropes & Gray, Laylee was a mergers & acquisitions and private equity associate in the New York office of another global law firm.
Laylee represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, and public and private companies and investors in a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, strategic acquisitions, divestitures, minority investments, growth equity financings and investments and cross-border transactions. Laylee’s practice also includes advising clients on corporate governance and general corporate matters. Laylee has advised clients across several industries including, media, technology, retail and consumer goods, healthcare and infrastructure.
During her time at the firm, Laylee has taken an active role in entry-level recruiting and lateral recruiting, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and the Ropes & Gray Women’s Forum.

- Represented New Mountain Capital in the merger of its health tech portfolio companies, The Rawlings Group and Apixio (including Varis), and the spinout and sale of Apixio Connected Care platform to Datavant, another New Mountain Capital portfolio company.
