Jashan Kashyap interned at the Sixth Amendment Center in the summer after his 1L year, working with state and local governments across the United States to improve public defense systems for indigent defendants. Later, he externed for Judge Chang in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and served as online managing editor for the Northwestern University Law Review.
Prior to law school, Jashan attended UCLA, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in political science and minored in applied developmental psychology. He interned in early childhood education centers and volunteered in the summers as a camp counselor to under-privileged teenage boys.
