Martha Kammoun is counsel in the finance group in New York and is co-lead of the firm’s energy transition sector. Martha's practice focuses on infrastructure finance, corporate transactions, and project finance, particularly in the energy transition and renewables sectors. She represents private equity sponsors, credit funds, developers and lenders across the full spectrum of debt finance transactions — from project and acquisition financing to back leverage financing of greenfield and brownfield projects and portfolios involving tax equity. She also advises on the development, acquisition, sale, joint venture and restructuring of power assets and energy transition investments.
Martha's practice spans the full energy landscape, including renewable and conventional power generation, storage, transmission, renewable natural gas, LNG, carbon capture and sequestration, airports, railroads and electric vehicle charging. A former co-general counsel of a North American private equity fund, Martha has been an adjunct professor at Columbia Law School, where she designed and taught a course on the private equity real asset investment life cycle.
