Sadie Kavalier joined the firm’s litigation and enforcement practice group as an associate in 2023. Prior to joining the firm, Sadie served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kathaleen St. Jude McCormick of the Delaware Court of Chancery.
While at Duke Law School, Sadie was an active member of Duke’s competitive Moot Court and Mock Trial boards. Sadie also assisted pro bono clients in Duke’s First Amendment Clinic. Sadie served as a notes editor for Duke Law Journal, where her note was published in 2021.
Experience
- Represented Sculptor Capital in defeating motion for a temporary restraining order brought in New York state court seeking to block the sale of Sculptor to Rithm Capital.
- Represented directors and stockholders of global shipping company in litigation concerning super-voting stock issuance in New York state court, securing dismissal of claims against the client on personal jurisdiction grounds.
- Represented pharmaceutical company in pre-closing litigation concerning adequacy of tender offer disclosure materials and corresponding FINRA inquiries.
- Representing directors of learning software company in stockholder litigation regarding company’s acquisition of technical skills platform in the Delaware Court of Chancery.
