Fernando Luján Cepeda focuses his practice on the tax aspects of private equity and M&A transactions, fund formation and investments, and other strategic corporate matters.
Before joining Ropes & Gray, Fernando spent over 10 years advising on domestic and cross-border tax matters at leading law firms in Mexico City and Madrid. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
Fernando earned an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center and a law degree with a concentration in taxation and finance from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Fernando is ranked "Rising Star" in General Corporate Tax by ITR World Tax 2025 and "Recommended" in Corporate Tax - Advisory by Lexology.
