Areas of Practice

Philippe is an associate in the asset management & tax practice, having joined Ropes & Gray's Paris office in 2026. He previously worked at another international law firm in Paris, where he was seconded to the Investment Funds team in London. A 2025 secondment at a private equity firm also gave him first-hand insight into sponsor priorities and decision-making processes.

Philippe advises clients on domestic and cross-border tax matters, with a focus on private equity and mergers and acquisitions transactions. His experience extends to investment fund structuring (GP side) throughout a fund’s life cycle, including formation, fundraising, and operational matters. He also has experience advising investors on their primary investments in investment funds (LP side).

Experience

  • Represented Capza in the fund raising of its fifth private debt fund, Capza 5 Private Debt, with an investment capacity of €1.6 billion.*
  • Represented Capza in the fund raising of its sixth private debt fund, Capza 6 Private Debt, with an investment capacity of €2.5 billion.*
  • Represented Partech in the fund raising of its second Africa fund.*
  • Structuring and the fund raising of a continuation vehicle dedicated to an infrastructure portfolio company.*
  • Advised Crédit Mutuel Capital on the establishment of its Fonds Révolution Environnementale et Solidaire SLP.*
  • Represented Amarenco, on securing a multi-country €500 million debt financing.*
