Erica Murphy is Ropes & Gray’s chief human resources officer, responsible for HR strategies and programs. By attracting, developing, training, engaging and retaining the most talented people, the human resources group supports the firm's delivery of excellent client service. Working with a dedicated team of professionals, Erica is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of the firm’s core HR functions, including professional development and training, total rewards (compensation, benefits and well-being), HR systems and operations, employee relations, and support team recruiting.
Erica is a member of the firm's support senior leadership team and reports to the chief operating officer.
Erica has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and law firm management. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and George Washington University School of Law.
