Kaito Mori joined Ropes & Gray in 2026 as an associate in the firm’s private equity transactions group, where he focuses on finance-related matters.
Prior to joining Ropes & Gray, Kaito practiced as an associate at a major Japanese law firm. Kaito has broad experience advising clients on leveraged finance, structured finance, and other general corporate matters, including matters involving Japanese tax law.
Experience
- Advised a large bank as a senior lender in a going-private deal of a leading Japanese company related to semiconductor manufacturing by a private equity sponsor.*
- Advised a private equity sponsor in a carve-out buyout deal of a health care business.*
- Advised a private equity sponsor in a PIPE deal to refinance existing loans.*
- Advised non-bank lenders in a mezzanine financing for a buyout of a metal product manufacturer by a private equity sponsor.*
