Alex Pattisson is an associate in Ropes & Gray’s private equity group.

Alex has a range of experience acting for private equity and corporate clients on public and private acquisitions (both domestic and cross-border), disposals and restructurings, as well as advising on general corporate law and governance issues.

Prior to joining the firm in 2026, Alex trained at another international law firm and spent a year working at a leading offshore law firm in Jersey.

Experience

  • Advised EQT on its acquisition of global secondaries firm Coller Capital, in a transaction understood to be the largest-ever secondaries fund manager acquisition.
  • Advised Oriflame in connection with a comprehensive recapitalisation to deliver a substantially de-levered and sustainable balance sheet with a debt reduction of approximately €520 million and a meaningful maturity runway.
  • Advised OpenText Corporation on its $6 billion takeover of Micro Focus.*
  • Advised a group of telecommunications companies on a $4.5 billion joint venture with InfraVia Partners to build a fibre-optic network in the UK.*
