Alexandra Peterman joined Ropes & Gray in 2024 and is an associate in the firm's asset management group.
Alexandra advises private fund managers on fund formation and co-investments, pursuing a wide range of strategies including private equity, venture capital and credit funds and within a number of jurisdictions. Alexandra counsels funds in all stages of their fundraising and organization, including in preparing offering materials, negotiating with investors regarding fund formation matters, and drafting partnership, limited liability company and other governance agreements.
Prior to joining the firm, Alexandra was an associate in the fund formation group of an international law firm based in California before relocating to London in 2024.

Experience prior joining Ropes & Gray:
- A first-time fund sponsor in the formation of its inaugural $300M fund focusing on investing in HardTech.
- A large US-based venture capital firm on multiple fund formations and transactions, including the formation of their life sciences-focused investment fund, totaling $1.2B.
- A Silicon Valley-based fund manager on the formation of two new funds totaling $2B, with a focus on enterprise software, consumer, healthcare, FinTech and HardTech.
