Elaine Park joined Ropes & Gray’s corporate department in 2021.

Elaine has developed extensive experience representing clients in a wide range of intellectual property, commercial, and corporate transactions. Her practice includes handling complex licensing and collaboration agreements, mergers and acquisitions, venture investments, and other strategic commercial transactions. Elaine's experience was further deepened during her secondment to HP, where she played a key role in the global corporate integration of a major multinational acquisition.

Elaine maintains an active pro bono practice assisting non-profits in the arts, education, and LGBTQ rights spaces with various IP and commercial needs. She is an active member of the Ropes Multicultural Forum and the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.

During law school, Elaine served as a comments editor for the UCLA Law Review and served in board positions for the UCLA Journal of Law and Technology and the Law and Entrepreneurship Association. She also placed first as a co-founder in a pitch competition at the law school, winning $60,000 for the startup. Additionally, she worked as a judicial extern for the Hon. Judge Dolly M. Gee at the United States District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles.

Mergers, Acquisitions and Investments

Represented and advised PE investors, PE-backed acquirers, strategic acquirers and strategic sellers in a variety of sectors, including software, healthcare, edtech, and fintech, in the context of mergers and acquisitions, asset transactions, investments and carve-outs. Representative deals include:

  • Represented Bloomberg in its acquisition of Broadway Technology, a provider of front-office fintech technology.
  • Represented Crosspoint Capital Partners in its Series A follow-on investment in Everseen, a leading provider of AI-powered computer vision and hyper automation solutions.
  • Advised Berkshire Partners portfolio company Tango Analytics in its acquisition of WatchWire, a sustainability and energy management software-as-a-service (EMSaaS) provider.
  • Represented Gauge Capital LLC in its partnership with Craftable, a leading SaaS platform for the hospitality industry.
  • Represented Erie Street Growth Partners in its growth investment in 50,000feet, an independent global brand consultancy and creative agency.
  • Advised Silver Lake and its portfolio company Weld North Education in its add-on acquisition of Winsor Learning, a producer of supplemental literacy products.
  • Represented Atria Wealth Solutions, Inc., a wealth management solutions holding company and portfolio company of Lee Equity Partners, in a definitive purchase agreement to be sold to LPL Financial Holdings Inc.
