Adam Rahman is an associate in Ropes & Gray’s litigation and enforcement practice group. His practice includes a broad range of litigation matters in a variety of venues, with an emphasis on securities, class action defense, products liability, intellectual property and complex commercial disputes. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants at all stages of the litigation process, including at trial and in appeals to the Second Circuit and the New York Court of Appeals, and has also represented clients in government inquiries by the U.S. Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and the New York Department of Financial Services.

Experience

  • Counsel to Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI) and Grupo Modelo in breach-of-contract and trademark dispute challenging Constellation Brands’ production and sale of the “Corona Hard Seltzer” and “Modelo Ranch Water” lines of products.*
  • Counsel to GCT New York LP, a stevedore and terminal services provider in the Port of New York and New Jersey, in a breach-of-contract action filed in the Southern District of New York against Maersk Line A/S, the world’s largest container shipping company.*
  • Counsel to Banco Bradesco, S.A. in putative class action in the S.D.N.Y. by shareholders asserting U.S. securities claims relating to an alleged tax fraud scheme arising out of the Brazilian authorities’ “Operation Zelotes” corruption investigation.*
  • Counsel to FCA US LLC in civil litigation, regulatory proceedings, and criminal investigations involving the DOJ, EPA, all 50 state attorneys general, and others over alleged emissions “defeat devices” in approximately 100,000 Model Year 2014-16 light duty diesel trucks sold in the United States.*
  • Counsel to an international financial institution in joint DOJ/FBI and USPIS investigation and agreed resolution concerning allegedly insufficient BSA/AML onboarding and transaction monitoring controls for third-party payment processors and their downstream merchants and affiliates.*
  • Counsel to an international financial institution in numerous investigations by state, federal, and international agencies and regulators, all related to OFAC sanctions and anti-money laundering compliance.*
