Nic Rieger joined the private equity group of Ropes & Gray’s Chicago office in 2020. Nic represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and equity investments across a broad range of industries. Nic also regularly advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on general corporate governance, compliance, equity and general operational matters.

  • Represented Kohlberg & Co. in its acquisition of AWP Safety, a national provider of traffic safety, contract flagging and logistical support services to private contractors and major public utilities.
  • Represented Gauge Capital in its strategic investment in Loving Tan, a luxury sunless tanning brand that provides high-qualify self-tan solutions with professional grade efficacy directly to consumers.
  • Represented Gauge Capital in the sale of TVC Pro-Driver, the market-leading platform for subscription-based driver’s license protection services, to an affiliate of Love’s Travel Stops.
  • Represented McNally Capital and its portfolio company Xcelerate Solutions, a leading defense and national security company, in its acquisition of VMD Corp., a cybersecurity, agile engineering and critical infrastructure protection firm.
  • Represented Cressey & Company in the sale of its People, Pets and Vets business, comprised of over 150 animal hospitals throughout the United States, to an affiliate of VetCor.
  • Represented GHO Capital Partners and The Vistria Group in their joint acquisition of Alcami Corporation, a premier pharmaceutical contract-development and manufacturing organization.
  • Represented The Vistria Group and its portfolio company Help at Home, a leading provider of home healthcare services, in its simultaneous acquisitions of Edison Home Health Care and Preferred Home Care of New York.
  • Represented The Vistria Group in its acquisition of Medalogix, a developer of data science products focused on clinical data to identify patient risk.
