Eli S. Rosenbaum is co-leader of Ropes & Gray’s institutional investor practice. Eli is a trusted advisor to some of the largest and most prominent limited partners in private funds.
Clients engage Eli on their highest-priority matters, including anchor and seed investments, fund restructurings, and managing key relationships with asset managers and other counterparties. Clients rely on Eli to advocate for their interests and priorities while navigating sensitive negotiating dynamics. Eli serves on the Ropes & Gray asset management technology task force, where he is helping spearhead the firm’s adoption and implementation of AI. He also serves on the steering committee for the Cambridge Forum on Private Funds, an annual conference for in-house counsel and private practice lawyers representing both GPs and LPs.
Through his work for global college and university endowments, Eli is a part of the firm’s higher education practice. He works closely with endowment clients to ensure that their investment strategies, policies, and other initiatives work hand-in-hand with the broader missions of their respective institutions.

- Regularly advises on investments in buyout, hedge, venture, credit, real estate, natural resources, and evergreen funds.
