Matt Stranzl joined the corporate department at Ropes & Gray in 2022 and focuses his practice primarily on transactional work. Matt represents public and private companies in securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic transactions. Matt also regularly advises public company clients on securities law compliance and corporate governance matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Matt graduated magna cum laude from Boston College Law School in 2022. While in law school, Matt worked in the Compassionate Release Clinic, in which he represented clients with life sentences at their parole hearings. He also worked in the Project Entrepreneur Clinic, in which he advised formerly incarcerated clients start and operate new businesses. Before law school, Matt graduated summa cum laude from Elon University with a major in journalism and minors in philosophy and political science.

  • Advised Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. on its acquisition of Agiliti Inc., a nationwide provider of medical technology management and service solutions to the healthcare industry.
  • Represented LPL Financial, the nation’s largest independent broker-dealer network, in several strategic transactions of investment advisory and financial planning firms.
  • Represented the underwriters in multiple debt offerings for Blackstone Secured Lending Fund worth an aggregate of over $1 billion, and the sales agents in the company’s $600 million ATM program.
  • Represented the initial purchasers in numerous 144A bond offerings for Blackstone Private Credit Fund.
  • Represented the underwriters in Nuveen Churchill Direct Lending Corp.’s debut bond offering worth an aggregate of $330 million, and the sales agents in the company’s $200 million ATM program.
  • Ongoing representation of public company clients in connection with securities law and corporate governance matters.
