Michael Santopietro is a transactional asset management lawyer in the firm's alternative asset opportunities practice. He represents institutional investors and asset managers in a range of transaction types, including GP-led recapitalizations, secondaries, co-investments, and direct investments. Michael originally joined Ropes & Gray's corporate department in 2018 and subsequently spent two years working as in-house counsel at a large asset management firm before returning to Ropes & Gray in 2024. During law school, Michael interned at an international music company and participated in the Cornell Law School Labor Law Clinic, which provides legal services to local unions.
