Julia Tempesta joined Ropes & Gray’s litigation and enforcement group in 2024. Julia’s practice includes internal investigations, white-collar defense, government enforcement proceedings, and anti-corruption and sanctions due diligence. Julia works with a diverse group of clients in the university, healthcare, and private equity industries, among others. Julia also maintains an active pro bono practice working on impact litigation and family law matters.

During law school, Julia completed legal internships with the Honorable Judge Kelley in the District of Massachusetts and Boston Children’s Office of the General Counsel. Julia also served as an editor of the Northeastern University Law Review. Prior to law school, Julia worked at Ropes & Gray as a litigation program paralegal.

  • Representing hospital client facing government enforcement efforts since 2025. 
  • Representing private equity clients conducting anti-corruption and sanctions due diligence in connection with portfolio company acquisitions. 
  • Represented pharmaceutical company in investigating alleged employee misconduct and reporting to the FDA.

  • Represents plaintiffs in various public interest impact civil litigation lawsuits involving disability discrimination, education access, and LGBQT rights.
  • Represents clients in family law proceedings.
