Kevin is an associate in Ropes & Gray's litigation and enforcement practice group, where he represents clients in an array of government enforcement matters and complex civil disputes. He has worked with clients in various industries including health care, private equity, banking, and investment management. Kevin is also actively involved with the firm's pro bono efforts, representing clients seeking asylum and incarcerated persons.

During and prior to law school, he worked as a legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen, advising on judiciary, homeland security, veterans, and defense policy.

Experience

  • Representing foreign subsidiaries of Schroders Plc. in litigations in federal court relating to the Madoff investment fraud.
  • Represented Exactech, Inc., a leading manufacturer and developer of orthopedic implant devices, surgical instruments, and AI-driven smart technologies for hospitals and physicians, and its affiliated debtors in a successful asset sale to an entity affiliated with a group of secured lenders through voluntary chapter 11 proceedings, involving the restructuring of more than $350 million of prepetition debt and liabilities, securing approximately $160 million in debtor in possession credit financing, and addressing billions in alleged tort liabilities.
  • Advised a global biopharmaceutical company in connection with an insider trading matter involving parallel inquiries from both the Southern District of New York and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that ultimately charged a high-ranking law enforcement officer arising from trading in connection with a pharmaceutical merger.
  • Represented an investment bank in a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) enforcement matter related to a SPAC transaction. FINRA closed its inquiry without recommending an enforcement action against the Company.
  • Represented a global asset management firm in SEC investigation related to allegations regarding the firm’s management fee structure and a series of transactions the firm participated in through one of its investment funds. The SEC closed its inquiry without recommending an enforcement action against the Company.
  • Represented religious institution investigating and resolving allegations of historical misconduct.
  • Represented a global investment firm in an SEC investigation concerning the recordkeeping of electronic communications.
