Jesse Zhen is an associate in the asset management group. Jesse’s practice focuses on advising private fund advisers on regulatory and compliance matters, as well as on SEC examinations. He also has experience representing registered investment companies in regulatory and compliance matters.
During law school, Jesse was a senior editor for the Washington University Law Review. As a student attorney at the Entrepreneurship & Intellectual Property Clinic, Jesse represented under-resourced start-up businesses and non-profit organizations. He also served as a legal extern at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s New York office.
Prior to law school, Jesse worked as a senior audit associate for a Big Four accounting firm where he provided attestation services to a broad range of public and private clients, including leading financial institutions and multinational manufacturing companies. Jesse has in-depth knowledge in financial accounting and holds a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) license in the state of Missouri.
