Jesse Zhen is an associate in the asset management group. He advises private fund advisers on regulatory and compliance matters, including SEC examinations, and represents broker-dealers sponsored by private fund advisers on formation, registration, compliance and examinations. Jesse also advises registered investment companies on regulatory, compliance and transactional matters.
During law school, Jesse was a senior editor for the Washington University Law Review. As a student attorney at the Entrepreneurship & Intellectual Property Clinic, Jesse represented under-resourced start-up businesses and non-profit organizations. He also served as a legal extern at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s New York office.
Prior to law school, Jesse worked as a senior audit associate for a Big Four accounting firm where he provided attestation services to a broad range of public and private clients, including leading financial institutions and multinational manufacturing companies. Jesse has in-depth knowledge in financial accounting and holds a Certified Public Accountant license in the state of New York.
