Peter Saidong Zhang joined Ropes & Gray’s corporate department in 2023 and is based at the firm’s New York office.
Peter received his J.D. and LL.M degrees from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served as research editor and senior editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Law, as well as student commencement speaker for Penn Law class of 2021. During his time at Penn Law, Peter participated in the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic, representing Philadelphia-based clients in various general corporate matters.
Peter obtained his LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where he served as vice president of the Law School Student Union and was recognized as the Outstanding Graduate of Shanghai (the highest honor).
Prior to joining the firm, Peter trained at another leading international law firm, where he handled matters in merger and acquisition, real estate financing, and anti-corruption compliance investigations.
Peter is native in Mandarin Chinese. He received China’s Legal Professional Qualification Certificate in 2020.
