Valeriya Zavyalova is an associate in Ropes & Gray’s private capital transactions group, where she represents private equity sponsors, investment management firms and their portfolio companies in a range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, minority investments and financings.
During law school, Valeriya served as an executive symposium and articles editor of the Maryland Law Review. In this role, she organized a symposium dedicated to the issues of corporate law and governance, featuring prominent corporate scholars and practitioners, with a keynote presented by a Chancellor of the Delaware Chancery Court. Valeriya also interned at the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, Baltimore City Department of Law, and served as a research assistant to Prof. William J. Moon. She was also a peer advisor to incoming law students.
