Practices: Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity

Mergers & acquisitions partner Paul Scrivano has been named to National Law Journal’s 2017 “Mergers & Acquisitions and Antitrust Trailblazers” list. This is the third annual issue spotlighting leading practitioners in the field.

The Mergers & Acquisitions and Antitrust Trailblazers special supplement highlights lawyers who continue to make their mark on M&A deal making and antitrust. Mr. Scrivano and other honorees are profiled in the September 1 National Law Journal issue.

Mr. Scrivano’s noteworthy transactions mentioned by NLJ included the $4.5 billion Mentor Graphics sale to Siemens AG that involved a successful negotiation by Mr. Scrivano to require so-called “hell-or-high water” obligations from Siemens concerning antitrust laws and CFIUS, as well as BGI-Shenzhen’s acquisition of Complete Genomics, which was the first successful acquisition by a Chinese company of a U.S. publicly traded company, and the negotiated spin-out and transition to independence of Bear Stearns Merchant Banking from J.P. Morgan during the 2008 financial crisis.
