On Dec. 20, Ignites hosted its final Exchange webcast of 2016 featuring investment management counsel, David Tittsworth (Washington, D.C.) as a panelist. The discussion titled “Policy, Pricing and Products: Planning for 2017,” included the future of Department of Labor’s fiduciary rule under the incoming administration, the viability of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s liquidity rule, what the new SEC chair could mark as a top priority, and how the new administration stands to impact the future of the Dodd-Frank Act. “Funds should not assume the [fiduciary] rule will be repealed. It’s a final rule,” said Mr. Tittsworth. “There’s a chance that the DOL rule is going to change, but I don’t think it’s going to be overnight.”

A replay of the 45 minute webcast, together with presentation slides is available to Ignites subscribers here.
