Health Care Partner Quoted in Modern Healthcare and Bloomberg BNA on U.S. Senate’s Health Care Draft Bill

Health care partner Tom Bulleit (Washington, D.C.) is quoted in June 22 -23 articles in Modern Healthcare and Bloomberg BNA’s Health Care Daily Report on the U.S. Senate’s health care draft bill.

Mr. Bulleit explains that although the Senate bill makes greater cuts to Medicaid than the House of Representatives’ bill, it does so over a longer period of time, in part via a slower phase-out of enhanced funding for Medicaid expansion, and it keeps subsidies to buy insurance in the individual insurance market more aligned with income needs than with age. He suggests that those aspects could help Senate leadership line up moderate votes.
