Ropes & Gray Represents Kohlberg & Co. in its Acquisition of GPRS Holdings LLC from CIVC Partners LP

Ropes & Gray represented Kohlberg & Co. in its acquisition of a majority stake in GPRS Holdings LLC from CIVC Partners LP. The company's management team will continue to lead GPRS and remain significant owners of the business while CIVC will also retain an ownership stake. Additional terms were not disclosed.

GPRS pioneered the use of ground penetrating radar technology for identifying subsurface structures as part of maintenance, repair and remodeling work on existing infrastructure.  Kohlberg & Company is a leading private equity firm headquartered in Mount Kisco, New York. Since its inception in 1987, Kohlberg has organized nine private equity funds, through which it has raised over $10 billion of committed equity capital.
