Ropes & Gray Private Equity and Health Care Practices Named to Law360’s “Practice Groups of the Year”

Law360 honored Ropes & Gray with “Practice Group of the Year” awards for its private equity and health care practices. The awards were announced on Nov. 29. It is the sixth year the firm has been named a “Group of the Year” for private equity and the second straight year the firm has received the health care distinction. 

The contest honors firms that “worked on the biggest deals or achieved the biggest wins in the most important cases.” Our attorneys leverage their experience in key industries to advise prominent clients on complex and sensitive issues around the globe. 

Highlights from Law360’s Practice Groups of the Year awards include:   

Private Equity: In 2020, the firm’s more than 200 private equity attorneys advised on more than 250 private equity transactions with a total value of more than $212 billion. our private equity client base now includes 9 of the 10 largest global funds, 44 of the 100 largest global funds and more than 80 mid-market firms. These transactions spanned 27 countries and 13 industries.

Health Care: in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic, the firm’s health care practice served as counsel to research institutions advancing COVID-19 testing; advised biopharmaceutical companies pursuing novel COVID-19 vaccines; steered government task forces in hard hit state. In addition, our team guided more than $60 billion in health care transactions over 18 months.
