In an Employee Relations Law Journal article, ESG, CSR and business and human rights partner Michael Littenberg and associates Samantha Elliott (both of New York), and Abigail Alfaro (Boston) discuss the new California Garment Worker Protection Act that is intended to result in fair wages and improved working conditions for the roughly 45,000 garment workers employed in California, many of whom are immigrant women. The Act creates new obligations for manufacturers, contractors and brands.
