Lisa Bebchick, partner in Ropes & Gray’s global litigation and enforcement practice group, Julie Jones, chair of the firm, and asset management partner Amanda Persaud have been named to Crain’s New York Business’ 2022 “Notable Women in Law.”

The list, published in Crain’s New York Business, recognizes attorneys who are leaders in their practice areas, have effected change in the legal industry, serve as role models to other attorneys, support their communities, and have worked to promote racial justice and equality within their law firms.

A versatile litigator, Lisa Bebchick has represented individuals and institutions in connection with multi-million-dollar criminal and civil forfeiture proceedings and related matters, and regularly advises clients with pre-litigation contractual disputes, due diligence and whistleblower claims. In a year that was particularly hard on the well-being of many women lawyers, Lisa’s role to implement programs and connect lawyers has been critical to their ability to sustain and accelerate their careers.  Lisa is co-chair of Ropes & Gray’s 600-lawyer Women’s Forum.

Julie Jones is chair of Ropes & Gray and has been a member of the firm’s management committee since 2011. One of the world’s premier corporate lawyers, Julie has led numerous multi-billion-dollar deals and won countless accolades for her work on behalf of clients that include some of the world’s largest companies and investors. Under her leadership, Ropes & Gray deployed the firm’s preeminent healthcare practice team to guide clients worldwide during the pandemic. She is committed to building and sustaining an equitable and inclusive work environment where diversity is celebrated and valued.<

Amanda Persaud is one of New York’s and the nation’s top advisors on private fundraises for large private equity raises, new credit platforms and hybrid fund raises. She has led numerous fund raises for prominent U.S. and international sponsors of private investment funds, most recently guiding Vistria’s $2.68 billion Fund IV, a blockbuster fund. In 2020, Amanda founded Ropes & Gray’s Diverse Partner Network to elevate the visibility of diverse partners, expand client relationships, and influence the firm’s practice areas.
