Daniel Murphy

Associate

Dan Murphy is an associate in the tax, employment, and benefits department. In addition to assisting clients with labor and employment diligence in large scale transactions, Dan helps employers enforce restrictive covenants, resolve employment disputes, and navigate investigations. Dan also maintains a robust pro bono practice representing asylum-seekers, helping reunite families with difficulty navigating the immigration process, and assisting indigent individuals proceed with divorce and child custody cases.

During law school, Dan served as co-director of the Georgetown Law Barristers Council’s Appellate Advocacy Division. Dan also served as student counsel in Georgetown’s Appellate Litigation Clinic, where he co-led a successful appeal before the Eleventh Circuit on behalf of an indigent client. In the summer of 2019, Dan interned in the criminal and appellate divisions of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.
