Privacy & cybersecurity co-heads Douglas Meal and Rohan Massey will each present at the Sedona Conference’s 2018 Midyear Meeting of Working Group 11 (WG11). The event will take place at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles, CA, on Thursday, September 13 – Friday, September 14, 2018.
The midyear meeting’s focus areas include:
- Reasonable security test
- Transparency in AI systems
- U.S. judicial enforcement of orders entered under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Mr. Meal will co-lead the welcome and overview session. He will participate in an update on data security and privacy case law. Mr. Meal will also participate in a dialogue examining data security and privacy under the FTC’s new commissioners. Mr. Massey will participate in two sessions: a review of U.S. judicial enforcement of orders entered under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and an analysis of international data security and privacy developments in the E.U., South America, APAC and Canada.
The event is open to Working Group Series members of the Sedona Conference.
